Excellent point, which I probably should have addressed in the reblog; it is unfortunate.

I will say, however, that while that particular brand of body-shaming is deeply problematic (like any kind of body-shaming), it is the kind of thing that usually arises from criticism of some deeply sexist and harmful beauty standards, which are especially prevelent in modeling and entertainment industries - it’s a misapplication of a basically good impulse. And while that doesn’t make it okay - road to hell is paved with good intentions, not magical, et cetera - it does mean that it doesn’t radically diminish my opinion of him as a person? Still not cool, but not a marker of a terrible human.

tl;dr: yeah, :((( I continue to enjoy his existence and I don’t feel especially terrible about it, though. But still, :((((
